Easter Island is a residence the most famous archaeological sites in the Pacific Ocean. The island is tiny and hilly volcanic origin. Easter Island is about three,500 kilometers off the coast of Chile. a mystery surrounds the significance of the large ancient statues (moai Named). whilst the Moai statues are believed to be a sort of religious symbols, as their existing positions have been transported to the island from the volcano quarry to confused numerous archaeologists right now. The name "Easter Island" was given by Jacob Roggeveen, in 1722, (very first recorded European explorers of the island, is the official Spanish name for the island Isla de Pascua, (the "Easter Island" in Spanish).
