Devils Tower is situated in the Black Hills, northeastern Wyoming in the United States.
It rises substantially 386 m above the surrounding terrain and the summit is 1558 meters above sea level.
There are a handful of theories about how the formation of this exclusive mountain Basalt has occurred, probably simply because the big lava that comes to cool slowly a polygonal joint pattern. Comparable patterns can be found in Iceland, and in the Hexagon Pool in Israel
