Door to Hell, Turkmenistan

Derweze is a tiny village in Turkmenistan, not far from the village, in the middle of the Karakum desert, there is a large burning hole in the ground! This hole is the locals "The Door to Hell".
Soviet geologists (back in the early 70s) held surveys about the location when a drilling rig into the ground generating a 70-meter-wide hole in the desert named her with each other.
Given that the hole was filled with toxic and combustible gases, they decided, it lights up, the fire of the gas consumption is, they charged and the fire is constantly burning since 1971st
