Katskhi Pillar, Georgia

Katskhi column (the locals call it "Pillar of Life") is a massive all-natural limestone pillars which from scratch and reached as high as 40 meters! It is located proper next to the village Katskhi (western portion of Georgia).

On the upper side there is a church, and there utilized to be a chapel, which was built about the 9th century, it was ruined and forgotten till 1944, when it climbed for the initial time given that it had fallen into oblivion, in 1995 it was restored and rebuilt, right now the church of St. Maximus the Confessor
